Born in Torrance, CA, I moved to the greater Annapolis, MD area at the
ripe old age of 6 months. I lived happily in the land of Lacrosse and Blue
Crabs with my parents and brother. I enjoyed success at a number of activities
as a youth, but none distracted me from my dream of becoming an Equine
Veterinarian; not even my girlfriend Heather whom would later become my wife. I
departed for the University of Maryland in College Park, to try to learn
something. I learned many thing in College Park, the most important of which was
that Maryland, although steeped in rich history and beautiful horse country, was
just too liberal for me.

I traveled to Blacksburg, VA to pursue my dreams at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (the Vet School with the longest name). My four years at Va. Tech proved to be quite the learning experience. Many good times were had there, not the least of which was marrying my high school sweetheart, Heather. I enjoyed my time in Blacksburg but alas had to leave and build a life for my wife and myself.
Dale Cupp, DVM was nice enough to offer me a position at Pine Meadow Veterinary Hospital (PMVH), a mixed practice located in the Tidewater region of Virginia. I didn't know at the time that 'Tidewater' meant that when the tide was in, it was under water! After three year of nagging, Dr. Cupp finally figured out that he was never going to get rid of me, so he sold me the horse part of the business and Pine Meadow Equine Service,PC was born in 1994. I started working out of Dr. Cupp's barn (just as he did when he started PMVH).
After a few years, I was fortunate enough to come across the our current property in Tabb, VA. Heather and I enjoy living in southern York county with our 3 kids, 3 horses, 2 dogs, 1-2 cats (depending of the day) and whatever else shows up to eat on a given day.
When I am not running around in my truck, I enjoy coaching lacrosse, serving as an assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 11, and doing a little kayaking. Who knows, one day I might get my boat back in the water.
